From start to finish the experience has been nothing short of fabulous. All you can hear are sheep, cows and the birds singing.
Ok I know the title isn't exactly summing up our stay in a sentence! The view of the Church through the living room window was breathtaking in the early morning mist.Having ensuites in all the bedrooms made it easier for a group of adults sharing the house.Great location and fairly remote within a mile of highest point in Dorset - which is well worth a walk. Village well placed and in easy reach of Bridport, Dorchester, Crewcerne etc The Boffy is excellent. On our last night we visited The New Inn in the nearby village of Stoke Abbott. However the food was beautifully cooked and prepared.Spacious and clean, light and airy cottage surrounded lovely gardens with goats, pigs and sheep nearby ready to greet you and your family, whatever you age! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending a holiday in this gorgeous cottage in an incredibly picturesque part of the country.Even though the weather was very cold, the cottage was warm and inviting.
The large bedrooms all had big, comfortable beds and good ensuites with plenty of hot water to go around.
The cottage was very well kept, very clean, ideal for crawling babies and had a wonderful garden that lead to three friendly goats who live in a separated area at the bottom, two pot belly pigs to the left and some sheep in a field just out of sight (and sound! The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, a dishwasher, washing machine (essential when travelling with a little person!
), a wonderful ipod dock so you have the choice of washing the dishes listening to your own music or the radio.
The bedrooms were spacious, the one above the kitchen particularly so, it held a double bed and a single bed and still had room for a travel cot and ensuite bathroom with a bath (another little person essential! The bedroom below and just off of the kitchen was another double with a smaller ensuite which was comfortable in size.
The third bedroom was lovely and held beautiful views over the local town and the sheep in the field and goats.
But it does give an insight into just how much of a good time we had in this beautiful cottage.
